St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds

Money from the Millennium Commission has enabled this historic Cathedral to reach final completion.

The Gothic-style lantern tower was raised a further 100 feet to 150 feet and ALR was closely involved in the new cloisters, which were also added. Our craftsmen took a mould of the feature work from the originals and used it to create the decorative lead gutters which now adorn the building.

Cast in our Norwich factory, the freeze was produced in 1 meter lengths and secretly fixed to copper gutters behind.
